Golden, textured and full of energy
A distinctive Bulgarian natural orange wine made from 50% Dimyat and 50% Rkatsiteli. Fresh and expressive, with ripe citrus and yellow fruit, subtle herbal notes and the extra texture that comes from contact with the grape skins.
SURVA Dimyat & Rkatsiteli takes the familiar combination of these two white grape varieties in a deeper direction. Skin contact brings more colour, aroma and structure, while the natural freshness of the grapes keeps the wine lively and balanced.
A characterful orange wine that combines freshness with texture – expressive, slightly grippy and made for the table.
The same grapes, a deeper expression
Dimyat and Rkatsiteli are already a natural partnership in the wines of Zagreus, but skin contact changes the character of the blend.
By allowing the juice to remain in contact with the grape skins, more colour, aroma and structure are extracted. The result is richer and more textural than a conventional white wine, with greater depth and a gentle tannic grip.
At the same time, the freshness of both varieties remains clearly present, keeping the wine energetic and approachable.
Skin contact, naturally expressed
SURVA Dimyat & Rkatsiteli is made in the low-intervention spirit of the SURVA range, where the natural character of the grapes takes centre stage.
The extended contact between juice and skins gives the wine its golden-orange colour, greater aromatic intensity and a more structured mouthfeel.
Rather than masking the freshness of the grapes, the skin contact adds another layer – more texture, more depth and a slightly savoury dimension.
The result is a fresh, textured orange wine with a distinctive character of its own.
Tasting profile
Fresh and expressive, with ripe citrus, yellow fruit and subtle herbal notes. The skin contact brings extra depth, a lightly grippy texture and a more savoury dimension, while the natural acidity of Dimyat and Rkatsiteli keeps the wine lively and balanced.

THE GRAPES
Dimyat & Rkatsiteli – freshness with a different dimension
Dimyat is a indigenous Bulgarian white grape variety, known for its freshness, delicate fruit character and naturally light, lively style
Rkatsiteli is one of the ancient grape varieties of the wider Black Sea and Caucasus wine world. It is valued for its fresh acidity, structure and ability to retain character even in warmer growing conditions.
Together, the two grapes form a fresh and balanced combination. With skin contact, however, that familiar partnership gains another dimension: deeper colour, greater texture, more aromatic intensity and a gentle tannic structure.
A combination that can be light and refreshing in one style – and far more layered and gastronomic in another.
ZAGREUS WINERY
Zagreus Winery was built in 2004, the year of its first harvest. The modern winery operates with a fully integrated production cycle and works exclusively with grapes from its own vineyards.
This allows Zagreus to control the entire process – from growing the grapes to bottling the finished wine – within one operation.
Since 2010, the vineyards have been cultivated according to European organic farming standards. No herbicides or pesticides are used.
For wines such as SURVA Dimyat & Rkatsiteli, that philosophy extends into the cellar as well: organic estate fruit, natural fermentation and as little intervention as possible between vineyard and bottle.

THE REGION
Southern Region – Thracian Lowlands
The Thracian Lowlands are one of Bulgaria’s most important wine regions, accounting for approximately 35% of the country’s total vineyard area. Its moderate continental climate, long growing season and warm summers create favourable conditions for both indigenous and international grape varieties.
The region is best known for powerful red grapes such as Mavrud, but it also produces expressive white and orange wines in which freshness, ripeness and regional character can come together.
