ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

GRAPES AND VINEYARD

This wine is made from carefully selected grapes grown in the Thracian Lowlands. The grapes come from some of the finest and most sustainably farmed vineyards throughout the Struma Valley.

VINIFICATION

The grapes are hand-harvested. Classic White Wine Fermentation. Fermentation on lees with controlled temperature. At the end of the alcoholic fermentation the wine remains for an appropriate period in contact with the yeasts to obtain the desired volume and aromas. Maturing in French oak barrels for 4-5 months.

THE REGION

South Western Wine Region

The South Western Wine Region of Bulgaria or the Struma River Valley includes the most southwestern parts of the country. It is not large in size, but it possesses some specific climatic features which are very similar to the Mediterranean regions. Along the valley of the Struma river unique Bulgarian varietals such as Melnik and Rubin are cultivated for the production of dry high-quality wines. Other well-known varietals are also grown in the area. The local wines are characterized by full taste, with spicy southern tones.
