Why Bulgarian Wine?

Bulgaria is continuously improving as a wine-producing country. The quality is certainly above the average. Hundreds of awards are received annually from all prestigious international wine competitions. It comes to say it’s only a matter of time for the Bulgarian wine to make its way back to the top and enjoy high popularity worldwide. We know all that and want to share our passion for high-quality wines from Bulgaria.

How do you choose your wines?

We choose all our wines directly by the wine makers. We travel regularly from winery to winery across the beautiful and still untouched Bulgaria, looking for new wines to add to our selection. We love to see how the wine makers seal their passion in the bottle and not just making mass products for dummies. We would value also a lot the natural production and the respectful attitude to environment.

The wines in our selection must meet at least the following criteria:

- The wines must be characteristic for their designation of origin;

- The wines must be pure and thus well made;

- The wines must have a good price-quality ratio;

- Each wine must have something special special to appeal to the wine lover;

- Each wine must have an appealing story to tell.

We taste hundreads of Bulgarian wines every new vintage. In addition, we build our selection in collaboration with independent Dutch and Bulgarian wine specialists. Their contribution helps us a lot in this endless sea of wine.

Do you have a physical store?

No, we do not have a physical store. This way we want to keep the costs low and so that we can offer a better price-quality ratio in our webshop.

Can I taste the wine before I order?

No, unfortunately this is not possible yet. Internet gives us a lot of opportunities nowadays, but doesn't offer us a solution to this yet. Who knows, maybe in the future. However, we do our best to describe every wine in a way to give you the best idea og how it smels and tastes. Besides we regularly participate in various tastings and events such as  Chateau voor Buren, Apeldoorn World Proef, Horecabeurs Goes, Gastvrij Rotterdam, Embassy Festival in Den Haag, etc. Yoa are welcome there to taste! For the time being most of our events are limited within The Netherlands, but quite soon we will be showing up often in Belgium and other surrounding countries.

Can I find your wines in others retail stores?

Yes, we deliver some of our wines to more than 50 wine stores throughout The Netherlands. Soon we will also be delivering to wine stores in Belgium too. However, the most complete selection of wines from Bulgaria you can find only on our website.
