Ruen is a unique Bulgarian grape variety with a specific character and great potential. It has been created through cross-breeding of Broad Leaved Melnik Vine and Cabernet Souvignon. Ruen grape variety grows only in Bulgaria and is quite difficult to cultivate. Only 7 ha of vineyards have been planted in South-western Bulgaria.
This high quality red dry wine, aged for 9 months in new French oak barrels has a unique style. It is made from hand-picked and carefully selected grapes of the Ruen grape variety, grown only along the Struma River in South-western Bulgaria.
