Vino-Lok Crystal stopper /glass-on-glass closure/
Vino-Lok is known as a glass-on-glass closure but in fact the seal is formed by a circular polymer disk that’s taste-neutral, alcohol- and acid-resistant and even mimics the oxygen transmission of natural cork.
This closure eliminates the risk of TCA tainted wine, has no effect on the aromas of the wine, prevents further and unwanted development of the wine after bottling, and establishes a stable and leak-proof long-term environment for the bottled wine.
Vino-Lok looks classy, no corkscrew needed and the bottle can be easily resealed.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
THE GRAPE
Rubin is a hybrid between the grape varieties Syrah and Nebbiolo, and was created in 1944 in the Institute of Viticulture and Oenology in Pleven, Bulgaria. However, it was not until the end of 1950s that this grape variety became more popular and was cultivated on a wider scale in south and southwest Bulgaria.
As the name suggests, wines from Rubin have a deep ruby colour and typical aroma of berries. The wines can be consumed both young and matured. When Rubin wines mature, their tannins smoothen out and the flavour improves, while freshness is preserved. Wines from Rubin are gaining considerable popularity on the Bulgarian market and abroad.
